Our aim at Louth Volks World is to provide the highest level of customer service at a fraction of main dealer prices. The service department is staffed with experienced factory-trained technicians, who have access to the latest computer technology and diagnostic equipment. All work is carried out using VAG special tools and our parts department is on hand to supply original parts and accessories for all makes and models.

Volkswagen recommends that you should have your air conditioning system serviced every 2 years.

Why is it important to have it serviced?

Over time, the gas in the air conditioning system can escape, causing the system to lose the ability to cool and demist the windscreen. It could also possibly result in damage to the system, which would require the parts to be replaced.

What's involved?

First of all we evacuate the system to remove old gas and oil. Next, we put the system under vacuum to eliminate any moisture trapped in the system or the dryer. Once stage one has been completed, we then refill the system with the required amount of refrigerant, oil, and UV dye. Should any future leaks occur, we add UV dye to the system so that leaks can be detected under a UV lamp.

In addition, we also use a purification system for the interior of the vehicle which kills bacteria and bad odours.

In recent years we have invested heavily in diagnostic equipment.

We have full pass-through facilities, linking us to Volkswagen, Audi, Seat, and Skoda, which enables us to carry out:

• guided fault-finding
• coding of control units, ECU keys etc.
• adaptions
• software updates

We also have all of the latest diagnostic equipment with full technical back-up for most other makes of vehicles on the road. This enables us to quickly diagnose the fault, keeping the cost to the customer down.

Louth Volks World have been tuning vehicles since 2004. We don't just flash a tuned file into your ECU, we do a full vehicle heath check to make sure your vehicle and engine doesn't have any faults and is suitable to be remapped.

We then data log the vehicle on the road in real world conditions to make sure everything is working correctly. Next, we tune the vehicle and further data logging is carried out, making sure we get the best out of your vehicle.

Although Louth Volks World specialise in Volkswagen, Audi, Seat, and Skoda, we also tune most other makes and models, motorhomes, trucks, tractors, and LCV's.

Louth Volks World are a Revo Authorised dealer and also a Quantum Tuning Authorised dealer.

It is very important to replace your cambelt according to manufacturers' recommendations. Failing to do so can lead to very expensive damage to your engine.

What We Do

From experience, at Louth Volks World we have found that most cambelt failures are not caused by the belt itself, but by the failure of bearings in water pumps, guides, and tensioners. This is why when we carry out a cambelt change we use a full genuine kit; including water pump and Volkswagen long-life antifreeze.

It is important to keep your vehicle's geometry within factory tolerances. When your vehicle is out of alignment it can cause:

We have recently installed a state-of-the-art high-definition 3D Snap-on four-wheel alignment bay. With this technology we're able to be accurate to a thousandth of a degree, so rest assured we can have your vehicle back to factory specification in no time.

DPF filter and EGR valves are a common part for failing in a lot of modern vehicles, and often expensive to replace. Generally with most modern cars if the ECU detects an issue, it will display the relevant warning lights. The most common EGR faults you may see are:

• increased exhaust particles
• detonation, also known as pinging or spark knock
• misfiring or rough idle
• hard starting

Here at Louth Volks World we are an approved Terraclean service centre. This means we have the equipment to clean these parts without removing them from the vehicle, often at a fraction of the price of replacing them.

We have four courtesy cars available for loan while your vehicle is in for service or repair. We also offer a free collection and delivery service within a 15-mile radius of our dealership, or we will drop you off in to Louth town centre and collect you when you're ready. Alternatively, if you prefer to wait while we work, we have a customer waiting area with TV, free hot and cold drinks, and you can even have a game of pool.

Please note, courtesy cars do have to be pre-booked and are charged out at £10 plus VAT per day.
